About TGStru BC

A concentrated liquid disinfectant containing the quaternary ammonium compound benzalkonium chloride, diluted before use. TGStru BC is a unique intermediate-level disinfectant for various types of semi-critical medical equipment and devices. Quaternary ammonium compounds are usually used as disinfectant agents because of their cationic amphiphilic properties, resulting from the presence of distinct hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions. Electrostatic interactions between the hydrophilic cationic region of benzalkonium chloride and the negatively charged membranes of pathogens cause destabilization of those membranes. The diluted solution can be used repeatedly for up to 14 days when the recommended usage protocol is followed.
